Engineered maple in Encinitas (oceanfront). Sun‑faded aluminum‑oxide factory finish is carefully removed without breaching the thin wear layer. Initial belt sanding by a specialist sets a clean, flat base; later planetary refinement (not shown) brings it glass‑flat for a durable modern water‑based finish. Coastal expertise for UV/salt‑air homes.

Carmel Valley Richard Marshall walnut. Old tung‑oil wear and sun fade required a full restoration. Initial SUPERHUMMEL pass takes the field flat; later (not shown) we planetary‑sand dead‑flat, re‑scrape the V‑grooves, restore the French bleed, apply a custom walnut stain, and finish with an extra‑matte commercial water‑based system.

This clip shows the precision belt‑sanding stage; later (not shown) the Bona Power Drive planetary delivers a perfectly flat surface before color and a modern water‑based finish. Estate‑grade walnut requires careful handling — see the project in our Photo Galleries.
